Who doesn’t like it? This small round ball with a delicious smell and distinctive taste.
Falafel is a famous meal served in the Levant and Egypt. It is highly nutritious, deliciously flavored and preferred by all of us.
You can have it as a healthy meal if you follow this recipe:
Ingredients:
  • 200 grams of hummus beans.
  • 200 grams of crushed beans.
  • 200 grams of onion.
  • A medium bunch of parsley.
  • A medium bunch of dill.
  • Green pepper, to taste.
  • Half a tablespoon of cumin and coriander.
  • Half a tablespoon of salt, to taste.
  • Half a teaspoon of baking powder per 300 grams of the mixture.
  • Roasted sesame to decorate.
    Directions:
  • First, soak the humus beans and crushed beans in water for 8-10 hours.
  • Mix all the ingredients using a blender, except baking powder and roasted sesame.
  • Run the blender on a medium speed, and speed up after then.
  • Add water to the mixture as needed.
  • Then add the baking powder, and mix well. (If you want to keep the mixture in freezer, don’t add the baking powder.)
  • Take a loaf of whole wheat bread and place falafel dough on it. Sprinkle roasted sesame. Bake in the top rack of oven at 180°.
  • When the falafel is ready, put it in the upper rack of your grill for a few minutes.
  • Grilled falafel is served with tomato, cucumber and watercress. It can also be served with humus or yogurt.
