the Best Time to Exercise during Ramadan

A proper diet and exercise plan are more important than ever during Ramadan. But what time of the day should you exercise during Ramadan? There are many different opinions on when to do workout as follows:

Before Sahour
At 3 am, before Sahour, is one of the best times to do exercise during Ramadan. If you are one of those who stay awake at night during Ramadan, then it is the best time for you to do some workout. It is imperative to eat a good blend of protein, carbohydrates, and other essential nutrients for Sahour meal.

An hour before Iftar (breakfast) meal
The best time to do a weight training workout is not while fasting. You can do some light exercise an hour before Iftar meal because heavy training while fasting can decrease strength significantly. In addition, you should drink a plenty amount of water, at least 8 glasses a day between Iftar and Sahour. This may help compensate the lost fluids during the day.

After Taraweeh Prayers
Training after Taraweeh prayers at night may facilitate the digestion process.

To summarize, exercise during Ramadan largely depends on your daily routine. May Allah help give us patience and strength in this month and throughout the year.
